Shannon
Grissom, a native of San Jose, originally expressed her creative
self through music. Moved to combine her artistic affinity
with her passion for color, she explored oil painting.
Shannon's
work reached a new level when she was introduced to Maestro
Michael Linstrom in 1995. Influenced by the Cape Cod as well
as the Perceptual Impressionist schools, Maestro Linstrom guided
Shannon in the art of seeing and painting the world through pure
color.
In
1996, Shannon's abundant enthusiasm for color led her to share her
passion for color harmony by teaching others the art of seeing
color.
In
1998, Shannon furthered her painting exploration by entering the
world of pastels and watercolors.
Today,
Shannon is an award-winning artist. Compelled by a single
note of color, Shannon uses vibrant hues to express the
relationship between color, her subjects, their environment, and
the ever-present music.
